I have a 2005 t4 with jbl speakers, I just had a parrot mki9200 installed.

When playing music at normal level i.e under 50% its fine, not as good as my harmon kardon on my ex 3 series but its still reasonable quality. When I go over 50% and raise the volume to say 70 80% there is serious distortion with what seems to be the speakers not able to handle the volume.

I am going to test this out on the cd player tomorrow to see if it is just a case of the speakers not being any good.

If it is just a case of it only happening with the parrot kit, what do you think it could be? poorly terminated terminals etc?

I've no idea about percentages, my volume is set at what might be described as subliminal levels of 03 or 04 around town and I sometimes raise the volume up to 06 or 07 when I am on a faster road. I find everyone else too noisy when I'm stopped at traffic lights
