If i order the Prius I will be upgrading to the protection pack, did anyone else add this on.

The reason for asking is since when you put it into reverse you get the annoying bleep, is that automatically disabled so you can just hear the parking bleeps.

I've ordered the protection pack. If only the damn car would actually arrive.....

RE: the reversing beeping. You'll see that quite a number have had this turned off, so that instead of a once per second beep whilst in R mode it just beeps once when you select R. It's free at any dealer and takes moments to do.

I just wondered if it be turned off by default as it will have rear parking sensors which will also be making a noise.

Hi ordered the protection pack with my TSpirit... so rear camera, park assist and parking sensors (and I'm still bound to reverse into something eventually). And yes, asked the dealer to ship to me with single beep when put in R, rather than constant beep.

They obliged and it worked. Manual confirms that you need to request this as default is constand beeping in reverse, regardless of protection pack.

The reverse select bleep will [u]not[/u] automatically be disabled by the parking sensor bleep, so you can in theory have two set's of bleep's going off at the same time.

If you think it will annoy you, as already mentioned, get the reversing bleep set to single.
