I was unlucky enough to get a flat tyre on my Gen 3 T3 after owning it for just three weeks. I was able to remove the normal wheel nuts but not the locking nut using the tools provided with the car. From what I can see the problem is either that the locking nut key does not sit deep enough, the not was on too tight, or the most likely that the angle of the wheel brace provided with the car does not work well with these nuts. Obviously the problem could also be a combination of all three.
I have spoken to the dealer and been advised that none of these things are correct and that I must not have been using them correctly. Stange that as even the RAC technician struggled to remove the nut also.
HAs anuone else had similar problems?

The wheel nut spanners supplied with cars are often inadequate, especially for those as pathetically weak as I am . . . . .
I always carry an extending breaker bar in the car. It didn't cost much and has got me out of trouble on several occasions.
I also have a decent torque wrench and always check the wheel nuts after any work at a "garage". The impact wrenches that they use can result in over-tightening.

Good idea. just been out and put a proper socket and bar in the car, just in case.....
