Panasonic Toyota F1 had another poor result at this weekends French Grand Prix, despite a strong start for both drivers. Both McNish and Salo benefitted for eairly race incidences which saw both drivers up to 10th 11th on lap 9 after starting 16th 17th. But that was really as good as it got for the German based outfit, with engine failure getting the better of both cars. Salo was the first to leave the action in very spectacular style on lap 48 when the engine let go in a big way, McNish looked like he would be able to finish the race but once again terminal engine failure ended the Scott`s race 7 laps before the checkered chequered flag.
