Hi guy's now for me it's got to be weeks in cars audio specialist. These guys are really good but they really charge a lot. Your talking £70 to put a radio in that just slot's straight in. To remove a radio they will charge you £25 pound's.
But the good thing is that they can really fit a mean install. I once saw a bmw with a custom system made for him. It looked the nut's and sounded like thunder!!!!

Only place I can suggest is a place called Top Banana and they really live up to their name. They are fmailiar with doing Kenwood and Pioneer show systems and custom installs.
Whether you want the plain head unit install, Big Bass, Superb balanced sound or a complete system to include GPRS laptop/PS2/TV built as a custom job built into the car itself they are more than capable of doing it with a very high level of quality...

In the south and probably Bournemouths top audio installers have to be Orpington Car Audio in Parkstone.
Installation costs are realistic and these guys gave some really cool advice on my ICE install.

One place I would NOT recommend in Birmingham is Audio World. I used them a number of times to fit my ICE. No longer!
First time they told me they would wire my amp and sub so that if I needed the boot space I just need to take out the left/right wires from the sub. What they did was to bolt the amp to the back of the sub so when I tried to take out the sub, I had loads of wires to unscrew and unplug. Then when I came to put sub back in I didn't know which wires connected where! Had to go back to them and pay a fiver for labour. Damn thieves.
And they left my wiring all over the place. One cable connecting amp to amp was barely long enough to reach. When I put the shopping in my remaining boot space, wire would just fall out.
They set my sub to the wrong settings (

) so when I took CD player to about 50% volume, my sub would distort. At one point they didnt even wire my rear speakers to the head unit. Left me with front and sub. AND they scratched my dash/centre console and didnt plug my dash lights in at the end of the job. So when I turned lights on my dials wouldnt light up.
Eventually, found someone else to sort out my ICE requirements. Gives good advice, good work and good prices. Rabs Car Alarms - a local shop but a well recommended company.

Moving Sounds in Newport, Monmouthshire fitted the ICE in my prevoius car - Rolla GTi. Good advice, good service and good workmanship - when you get these three you don't mind paying.

Quantam in Coventry are good at the mean installs, but the fibre glass mouldings are not done in house and they wont tell who their supplier is cos they know im gonna go straight their!
But they are pretty expensive and concentrate on Kenwood and Fosgate stuff most as well as Diamond Audio and Xtant. Pioneer and Sony are the other stuff they stock and Becker too.
But i Shop at Pilot in cov. they guys there are ace and price pretty competitively. They concentrate on Pioneer and Kicker and Infinty mostly - which is why i go there!
Im yet to find a place close by that has a good stock of Alpine, i really wanna see their screen quality for a DVD setup. There is a HQ kinda thing on the other side of the city but i dunno if its jus logistics there or if they have the products....

I'd second Top Banana - I'm just about to get a boot install from them...
They are located in Fleet (It's just off the M3, about 3/4 of the way from Soton to London).
Very good value for money and know what they are talking about!

I second HendonCarStereo aswell. I had a very nice system installed in my Pug 106 by them back in 2002. Headunit/amps/subs and speakers.
I bought everything from them and had them fit it. The main fitter (forgot his name) is pretty dam good. He did a very nice custome job mounting my amps to the sides of the boot, so I could easilly remove the subs.
I believe they charged me 75 for the fitting and all cables/connectors etc.. I never got to push for a discount but their prices are great.
Infact I am considering taking my T-sport down there in the next few days if i cant get my system installed myself. (my first self install, possibly a bit too ambitious i think.)
The only thing I don't like about HendonCarStereo is they're workshop is tiny. Its a shop on a highstreet and the car must be taken down a narrow alleyway to get the car to their little workshop. It was very crowded last time i was there.
But so far they are the best. I had some other company install a simple kenwood stereo in my other car (Merc c220) and the fitter went and chipped a huge piece out of my wooden dash. Then tried to play it off like thats how i left it with them. Cowboys!. They are based on Bilton Road in Perivale next to natwest bank. I forgot the name of the place.

I just bought a new stereo and fascia adapter for my Corolla from them online. Made the payment on Tue and paid for next day delivery as it was the only option they had. It was after 4PM so wasnt expecting it yesterday but was kinda expecting it today, I even removed all the trim and guff earlier to allow a quick fit when it came.
Needless to say it aint here yet and I am a bit annoyed
No real point to this other than me having a moan and possibly warning others that their next day service doesnt necessarily mean next day.
Anyone else bought from Caraudiodirect online?
