OK folks hows about a meet with a difference? Think your a driver? Can you handle the competition? Can you handle getting thrashed by your mates? If YES, add your name below :P < - - Balls to that. If you want a good day out read on ;)

Ideally wanting min of 20 guys/girls up for this day out which im hoping can be slotted for the last weekend in January 07. We have 2 choices on racing events that we can do:
Grand Prix Heat racing for groups of 20 – 48, racing for individual glory!
The famous ScotKart Grand Prix rewards consistency as following the practice sessions each driver has to compete in 5 separate rounds of racing, collecting as many points as possible in each race (8 for a win, 6 for a second place etc). The top 8 drivers then compete in the Grand Final, looking for one of the 3 places on the winner’s podium at the Prize presentation.

Experience lasts aprox 2 hours for 20 drivers (6pm or 8pm starts), 3 hours for 30 drivers (7pm start), or 3.5 hours for 40+ drivers (6.30pm start). Daytime also available.
Race Fees £38.30 per driver excl Vat (or £45 including)
Or if we get the numbers then:
Le-mans Team Challenge for groups of 20 – 100, racing for your teams glory!
The Le-Mans is a relay type race where your group is divided into teams, each with its race prepared kart. Following the practice/qualifier session your team starts a 60/90/120 minute race (depending on numbers), with the winning teams completing the most laps in the time period. The Le-Mans demands good communication skills and strategy from the teams, and offers a lot of karting for each driver, plus the chance for drivers of mixed abilities to enjoy the event more.

Experience lasts 2 to 4 hours:
20 drivers (10 teams of 2), 10 min qualifier,
60 min race. 2 Hour event, 6 or 8pm start.
30 drivers (10 teams of 3), 15 min qualifier,
90 min race. 3 Hour event, 7pm start
40 drivers (10 teams of 4), 20 min qualifier,
120 min race, 4 Hour event, 6.30pm start

Race fees £38.30 Per driver excl VAT, please call for prices on larger group sizes
This is just a thread to see if we can get the "DEFINITE" number of 20+ then we can decide on which tournament we want. Both tournaments offer vast amounts of track time from warm ups, to heat racing then the finals etc..

Price is looking at about £45pp with a £10 NON REFUNDABLE deposit.

As said trying to get this for last weekend of January (27th/28th).. Plenty time for saving £45 (£14 a month lol)

Anyways get your names down and I will post on a handful of other forums.

Cheers,

J.

I'm up for this mate... but tbh I would much rather goto Raceland just outside of edinburgh and do a grandprix thing there? They have a pretty nice outdoor track.
scottishcruiser
Only thing is with an outddor track is its outdoor and weather is dependant on being at least DRY.. I mean would you want a full on GP if its belting down with rain?
Jones~32
Slick tyres + wet weather = well good fun! :yahoo:
scottishcruiser
Cold wet windy evening isn't though.. Edinburgh was suggested but just the weather, especially in cold ol' Scotland in January :D
Jones~32

No, probably the whole weekend because I'll visit friends when I'm down. I want it round at Envy first thing as they're only open until lunch on a Sat... If you want stuff brought back though...
