can anyone tell me the towing limit on a stock 98 4runner i just bought one and i want to know if it can tow my boat thanks. dave

According to the owners manual, with the 3RZ-FE engine, total trailer weight must not exceed 3500lbs...5VZ-FE's = 5000lbs. Tongue load should be between 9 - 11% of the total trailer weight.

They can tow around 3500 with the right hitch. Some smaller hitches only allow you to tow 1500 or 2500 lbs. A v8 tundra is the best bet to tow something larger up to 7500 lbs. [url="http://www.used-4runner.com"]http://www.used-4runner.com[/url] Mike
